House of Geneva’s jewellery is all handmade in Geneva, with responsible gold, also known as «ethical gold». In collaboration with a Swiss initiative, the Maison uses gold which is responsibly mined and refined. In practice, it has a positive social and environmental impact. The label sources gold from artisanal mining. This precious metal still being the livelihood of many families, it provides miners with a stable income. The initiative also funds and establishes social projects, in collaboration with local mining communities. In addition to its social impact, the gold is extracted and refined industrially protecting the miners and the environment from heavy metal exposure.
By using ethical gold, House of Geneva is a leader on the road to sustainable Haute Joaillerie.
